Expectations were running high for MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider Lewis Rollo with Knockhill being his home round, and he delivered in fantastic style. With the round being a double header he raced to fantastic 9th place on Saturday, only then to be given a penalty for ‘overtaking on a yellow’ and being placed in 12th overall. As disappointed as we were for the 18 year Scotsman we were encouraged with his determination and progress.
With Sundays race being held just after lunch and the huge partisan crowd supporting all local riders to the max, Lewis rose to the occasion and focused on the 24 lap race 2. Once again the MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider exceeded expectation and finished a fantastic season best 8th place, with a fastest lap just 0.46 of a second off the dominating MSS Colchester Kawasaki supported rider Danny Buchan.
So on to Danny Buchan who is one of our supported riders and has been for many years. If you can have a favourite circuit this is one of Danny’s and he also delivered the goods in the best possible fashion. Danny riding his Morello Kawasaki was in a class of his own throughout the weekend, by topping every time sheet from free practice through to the second race on Sunday afternoon.
So 2 wins from Danny and very strong solid results from Lewis made the long trek home more than worthwhile for the MSS Colchester Kawasaki crew.
